Musical chairs online: Musical Parking

Musical chairs is hard to play online, because nobody can grab a chair through a screen. Rubble Rally turns it into Musical Parking: karts circle a car park while the music plays, and when it stops, everyone fights for a bay. There is always one too few.

A banner reads MUSIC STOPPED: PARK! as karts race for parking bays — Musical Parking: the music stopped, find a bay.

The rules

Drive while the music plays. Circle the lot. No parking yet.
The music stops. A banner says "Music stopped: park!" and a short timer starts.
Park in a free bay. The counter shows how many bays and karts are left. There is always one bay fewer than karts.
Ram if you must. You can push a kart out of its bay. Whoever is in a bay when time runs out stays.
No bay: you are out. Then the music starts again with fewer bays, until the round is over.

Tips

Stay near the bays while the music plays, but do not stop: circle close to the middle so every bay is a short drive away.
Do not aim for the bay everyone is aiming for. The far one is often free.
Park straight in. A kart half in a bay is easy to ram out.
Save nitro for the stop. One burst when the music cuts out wins most bays.

Part of a bigger party game

Musical Parking is a party round in Rubble Rally's Show, a knockout of short rounds picked by a roulette. In a party with friends it can come up next to Hide & Seek and Zombie Tag. The main rounds include Red Light, Green Light, Falling Towers and Paint the Town, and the finalists race to a helicopter in The Getaway.

Knocked out? You become a Wrecker and drop rubble on the survivors. Take one out directly and you win your seat back, once per Show.
