A free kart game like Mario Kart, in your browser

Mario Kart needs a Nintendo console. If you want a kart racer with drifting, items and friends, for free, on the phone or laptop you already have, Rubble Rally is an independent alternative that runs in your browser.

To be fair: Mario Kart is a polished blockbuster with decades of tracks. Rubble Rally is a small independent game. What it offers is that it is free, needs no console and starts from a link, and that its main mode is a party game rather than a plain Grand Prix.

The Show: racing plus party rounds

A roulette picks each round. Some are races (the last karts at each gate are out), some are not: Red Light, Green Light, Falling Towers, Paint the Town, and in parties Hide & Seek, Zombie Tag and Musical Parking. The final, The Getaway, is a race to a helicopter while knocked-out players drop rubble on you. If you just want to race, pick a track and go.

Mario Kart is a trademark of Nintendo. Rubble Rally is not affiliated with or endorsed by Nintendo; the name is used here only for comparison.
